ORDO is a perpetual liturgical calendar (until 2037) and a missal for the traditional Catholic rite (compliant with the Roman missal of 1962), with for each day:
- The different festivals of the day,
- Clean texts for each day,
- The lives of the saints of the day.
- The Ordinary of the Mass including the texts of each day
- The choice of the form of the Mass (read/sung)
- For the sung Masses, the main Gregorian scores of the Kyriale
All the information is in the application, and is not downloaded from the Internet: it is therefore always available.
THE CALENDAR
He understands :
- Sundays, holidays, vigils, octaves and holidays,
- Commemorations (or memories),
- The universal solemnities and those of France,
- Different celebrations possible on the same day,
- Certain festivals specific to France, Brittany and the diocese of Paris and Switzerland.
- Indications of obligatory holidays, days of fasting and abstinence.
- Liturgical notes: celebrations prevented, moved, etc.
THE READINGS & LIVES OF SAINT
For each feast, the texts of the day are available, and a summary of the life of the saint(s) of the day.
PRAYERS
On Fridays during Lent, a Stations of the Cross is available.
MISSAL
The application can display the Ordinary of the Mass adapted to each day:
- the form of the Mass (read/sung/solemn, and the short or long versions of the Four Times)
- the own texts are included dynamically,
- the ordinary adapts according to the day and liturgical time (for example, Asparagus Me/Vidi Aquam on Sundays, etc.)
- Gregorian score for the main Masses of the Kyriale
- Special ceremonies: blessings, processions, and Holy Week ceremonies.
NAVIGATION IN THE APPLICATION
The application allows:
- navigate the calendar, which highlights the holiday of the day,
- to go directly to a given date,
- to search for parties (a single keyword),
- display the details of a day, which gives access to the readings,
- to choose the place in which the celebrations must be displayed.
